古之時天地大變，連大陸板塊都和流蘇當時所知不一樣了，這種板塊遷移的結果對於很多族類而言都屬於滅頂之災。於是有巨人刳木為舟，剡木為楫，漂洋而渡，尋求族群安居之地。
這是此地大荒種族的由來，也是尋木上面削掉了一片的由來。
秦弈看著那巨舟，覺得自己正在見證神話，頗有心潮澎湃的感覺。哪怕見到了龍鳳，見到了饕餮，見到了各種各樣的妖怪，都沒有這麼一艘船帶來的強烈觸動感。
因為雖然世界不同，也可以從中遙想曾經的華夏先民，與天地作戰的遺蹟。
